A biological solution for healthier agricultural soil
Microplastics are costing farmers yield. Selion is here to change that.
We’re developing a fungi-based soil amendment designed to degrade microplastics directly in the soil—without new equipment or operational changes.

Microplastics reduce global crop production by up to 13.5%. Selion is developing the first scalable solution.
The problem
Microplastics in agricultural soil come from contaminated biosolids, decomposed mulch film, equipment wear, and airborne deposition. They accumulate because they don’t break down on their own, putting soil resilience, crop quality, and yield at risk.
Our solution
Selion is developing a fungi-based soil amendment that degrades microplastics through enzymatic reactions directly in the soil. It fits into existing farm inputs—no new equipment, no operational changes.
We’d love to chat.
We’re in early-stage R&D and are speaking with farmers, soil health practitioners, and regional partners.
